follow my stomach, it always knows
i have been on the road for a solid 3 weeks and i'm in knoxville right now 30 minutes to showtime. i was in port charlotte, fl at a place that had unbelievable food. seriously. my steak was so jizz-tastic that i actually took a photo of it to attempt to do it justice. the shows were great in port charlotte, jacksonville, and all this week in knoxville. the only off set i had was in matthews where i did my friend matt davis' show "sin" where each comic does his raunchiest, edgiest, offensive, politically incorrect material possible... or at least that's what i thought. i got really shit faced and stunk up the stage with material that apparently crossed the line that wasn't supposed to be there. in my defense, i was trashed. i could barely form a coherent sentence, let alone engage in subtleties like timing, inuendo, and punchlines. i had fun though. the highlight of the night for me was when clint nohr continued to hammer a heckler after the guy had shut up and been quiet for a while. this has been one of the longer stretches i have been away from home and i'm ready to head back. it's been fun, but wiht a price. my family had to put my dog and best friend to sleep while i was away, and i didn't really get to say goodbye to him. i would have liked to bring him back a hunk of the steak i had in florida, and he would have eaten with the attitude that it was rightfully his to enjoy, with out thinking for a minute that he deserved any less.
